REBECCA TAYLOR (Director) has worked as a director and actress in theater, film and television. Most recently Ms. Taylor directed Theodore Bikel in Arje Shaw's The Gathering, in the New York production and at The Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami. Her theatrical career includes such regional theaters as The Goodman, Missouri Repertory, Arena Stage, The Barter and The Mark Taper Forum. In NYC her directing credits include Strange Snow at the Judith Anderson; a vaudeville inspired production of Arthur Miller's An American Clock; The Madwoman of Chaillot and the NY premiere of Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey's Joanna's Husband, David's Wife; and A Man's World by Rachel Crothers at The Metropolitan Playhouse. In LA she premiered Men in Waiting at the Tamarind Theater. Internationally she developed a project for Theater Without Borders which toured Lithuania. She has also worked for New Line Cinema and as the coach for Malcolm Jamal Warner's Here and Now. Ms. Taylor is proud to be joining Mr. Shaw on his most recent play, Magic Hands Freddie. The play will be produced as a workshop at Ensemble Studio Theater in September.
