A normal morning or so it seems,
plots are planned while people dream
Into our world they open a door,
slip inside and start a war,
As people perish, we open our eyes
Suddenly awake, and stand paralyzed
not understanding not wanting to see,
the pain that is caused, the destruction achieved

The planes sail through the staring sky,
lower their sails and fly on by
A bang like thunder as one plane collides,
one into a tower the other to it’s side
We sit in silence, completely unaware
that in moments time, they will no longer stand there
The towers collapse onto the ground,
solutions are searched but few are found

Confusion leaves the air and rage takes it’s place,
how long will this go on? Can we win this race?
“ The city that never sleeps” now stands in shock,
the skyscraper: the prey, the planes: the hawk
our problems seem minute, compared to this event
what could have been done?,
Is this something we can prevent?
Yes, we will prevent it, our flags are stretched out smooth
Not to be flaunted, and standing Huge..........
